Getting started with NetTree

Set up your first NetTree workspace and site, add destinations from the public library, run a manual submission workflow, and track Live link outcomes.

Getting started with NetTree

Who this is for

New workspace members who need a repeatable manual link building workflow — from picking destinations to tracking verified outcomes.

What you will learn

  • Create a workspace and site with a usable profile
  • Add destinations from the public backlink library
  • Run one directory submission through draft → submit → tracker
  • Understand where human control stops and NetTree assists

Prerequisites

  • A NetTree account (Free plan supports one site to start)
  • A product or site URL you can describe clearly
  • Willingness to perform final submissions yourself

0. Join or create a workspace

Path: /register → verify email → sign in → /app (Overview)

After sign-up and email verification, sign in to land on Overview (/app) — your workspace command center. Create your first site at /app/sites/new. Invite teammates later from /app/settings/workspace if your plan includes seats.

Each site under the workspace represents one product or property you are building links for. Most operators start with a single site and expand when they manage multiple brands.

1. Create a site profile

Path: /app/sites/new/app/sites/[id]/profile

  1. Enter your site URL; NetTree builds an initial profile (category, keywords, positioning).
  2. Review and edit profile fields — inaccurate profiles weaken destination matching and drafts.
  3. Optional: add competitor domains for later gap research.

Outcome: A site record with a profile NetTree uses across Plaza, workflows, and drafts.

2. Add destinations from the public library

Path: /app/plaza (nav label: Opportunity library)

  1. Browse or search curated directories, launch platforms, and communities.
  2. Check fit signals: relevance, risk, submission endpoint, ops notes.
  3. Add suitable sources to your site submission queue.

Outcome: Queue items in draft_ready or queued state, ready for workflow.

3. Run a directory workflow (first submission)

Path: /app/workflows/directory

  1. Open the next queue item; review destination context.
  2. Generate or edit a submission draft (descriptions, tags, URLs).
  3. Open the destination submit page; use NetTree Assist if installed.
  4. Submit manually on the third-party site.
  5. Mark the queue item Submitted; add Live URL when the listing is public.

Outcome: A queue record in Submitted/Checking or Live state; optional listing URL in notes.

4. Track results in Submission Tracker

Path: /app/tracker

  1. Filter by site or status.
  2. Use Submit page and Live URL links per row.
  3. When verification runs, use Recheck on verified rows.

Outcome: One row per site × source × target combination with Operation and Link columns.

Human control boundary

NetTree assists research, matching, drafts, and form fill preview. It does not:

  • Auto-click Submit on third-party forms
  • Bypass CAPTCHA, payment, or terms acceptance
  • Mark links Live without evidence or explicit human confirmation

This boundary keeps your submission tracker auditable for teams and clients.
