Published

Publication recorded, including manual confirmation. This operation does not run a backlink check.

Verified Live

A backlink check record reports the target link as live. Inspect its check time and note; the result is evidence at that time.

Lost

A previously live link disappeared, redirected away, or no longer matches the target.

Checking / review needed

Evidence is incomplete or ambiguous — do not count it as success until someone inspects it.

HOW TO VERIFY

Confirm what the public
page actually shows.

Save the exact public listing URL and target URL. Published confirms a publication milestone; it does not prove the target link is present. A backlink check record supplies Verified Live, Lost, or Checking. Inspect the check time before using a previous result in a report.

Backlink acceptance checklist

Open the exact public listing URL and confirm it is accessible.
Find the link to your intended target and review its destination or redirect.
Record link attributes separately; a found link does not prove ranking value.
Keep the check time, result, and explanation with the listing record.
Review ambiguous results and set a follow-up date.

In Tracker, Mark published updates the operation only. Add live URL saves an address; it does not run verification. Recheck is available for existing backlink records. You can import a backlink record through Tracker before checking it.

A live backlink does not prove search indexing, referral traffic, or signups. Those outcomes need separate evidence. Rechecks use the same monthly allowance as first checks.
