Live
A public listing or backlink is reachable and confirmed by verification or human review.
Lost
A previously live link disappeared, redirected away, or no longer matches the target.
Review needed
Evidence is incomplete or ambiguous — do not count it as success until someone inspects it.
HOW TO VERIFY
Confirm what the public
page actually shows.
Save the destination, submission time, and a recheck date. A record becomes Live only when a listing or link is reachable and its state is confirmed. If the page changes or the link disappears, move it to Lost or review-needed instead of keeping an outdated win.
No invented
live status.
When crawl or review data is missing, leave the state unresolved. Do not upgrade Submitted to Live on hope.
Review required before Live
Ambiguous pages

Soft 404s, login walls, and relocated listings are judgment calls. Automation can assist; it should not silently rewrite history.
